Drilling the hinge holes is tricky, but luckily the horizontal stabilizer is accessible. Inboard control surfaces like the flaps had to be cut differently.

Although this is overkill for a prototype, a quick covering with putty hides any imperfections. I'm really fussy.

The vertical stabilizer needs a slight channel for alignment.

Here's the cutout for the motor mount. This really should have been earlier, but luckily I can still secure the airframe in the vise.

The motor is a Pratt & Whitney PT6 turboprop rated at 900 shaft horsepower. Or it might be a pager motor. I'll have to recheck the specs.
